The beaches and nightlife are key diversions for many Cancún vacationers. But the area also earns praise for cultural activities
LOVED every minute of our visit to Selvatica. If you are adventures, I strongly encourage you to go to this place. They offer adventures such as ATV ride, Mud Madness, Zip-line and so many other amazing adventures.
The workers were some wild characters and very good at their job! We were definitely entertained the whole time
Ik Kil Cenote
If you wish to see the swimming hole to beat all swimming holes you need to head about to the Ik Kil Cenote. It very close to Chichen Itza.
Besides being just about the most beautiful swimming hole in the world, Ik Kil is a popular spot because of their facilities. You can have a delicious buffet lunch across the street with beautiful surrounding.
Chichén Itzá is a large Mayan archaeological site and one of the most notable and recognized landmarks on the Yucatán: The site itself was originally a main hub of Mayan civilization and has since been named a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The focal point of the ruins is the pyramid-like El Castillo that was once used by Mayans as a temple to worship. One of the new seven wonders of the world. About a two-and-a-half hour car or bus ride from Cancún. You can avoid crowds by visiting the site in the early morning before the tour buses arrive.
Chichen Itza cannot be left off your itinerary. The architecture of these ancient edifices is awe inspiring.
Locals sells lots of cultural souvenirs but be aware of their aggressive persuasion to buy.
