Givenchy Moved Its Ready-To-Wear Show From Paris To New York For the Spring 2016 collection
Happy Saturday. Hope you all had a great week. Our Fashion citizens are back. New York Fashion week started on Thursday, September 10, 2015. For the first-time ever, Givenchy moved its ready-to-wear show from Paris to New York for the Spring 2016 collection. Leave it to Riccardo Tisci to create a fashion show experience to rock New York Fashion Week to its core. At dusk on Pier 26, Tisci staged an elaborate presentation of 88 looks featuring everything from menswear to haute couture inspired by his past decade at the house. The set, designed in collaboration with Marina Abramovic, was made of all recycled materials. Twin beams of light glowed in the distance beyond One World Trade Center, as a sign of remembrance of September 11.
To honor the occasion, the front row was veritably packed with celebrities. Among those in attendance were Kim Kardashian West and Kanye West, Nicki Minaj, Christina Ricci, Courtney Love, Ciara, Jennifer Hudson, Amanda Seyfried, Catherine Deneuve, Erykah Badu, Liv Tyler, Steven Tyler, Debbie Harry, and Margot Robbie and many more.
